This cozy, spacious one bedroom apartment is part of our private residence located on 13 acres only 3 miles from downtown Brattleboro with easy year-round accessibility. We are only 1.5 hours from Hartford, 2.5 hours from Boston and 3.5 hours from NYC. Enjoy swimming or skating on the pond, hiking around it or just lounging in the hammock and enjoying the view.
The apartment is nicely decorated and completely equipped with all the comforts of home, including bed linens & towels, dining/kitchenware & appliances: refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, mixer & iron. Kitchen/ dining area, bath with shower, one bedroom with high quality double (or queen) bed, living room with woodstove and couch with comfortable queen-size bed; and a patio with dining furniture and grill.
Rental includes oil heat, firewood for fireplace, electricity, trash and snow removal, free internet wireless –bring your laptop! DVD and Ipod stereo system –bring movies and music. Bring your own phone.
Located in the scenic Connecticut and West River valleys this rental has easy access to Brattleboro with movie and stage theaters, fine dining, a thriving Main Street with several independent book shops and art galleries. Buy fresh local food at the Brattleboro Food Coop or the Farmers Market. We have abundant cross country skiing, downhill skiing Stratton is 40 minutes away and 30 minutes from Mount Snow. Hike in the many state forests or canoe or kayak on the Connecticut and West Rivers. Brattleboro, Putney, Marlboro, Newfane and the rest of southeast Vermont is a thriving cultural community with music, theater, arts and crafts. The Marlboro and Yellow Barn Festival are held nearby. You can spend the day antiqueing up Route 30 visiting the historic village of Newfane and Grafton. Shopping at the Manchester outlets, or just doing what we like enjoying the calm, quiet of Blue Heron Pond.
Rental Details
Rates: $175 per night (2 night minimum); $450 per week; $1600 per month *Rates include up to 4 people.
Deposits: Please make deposits (25%) by paypal on this website. Balance is due upon arrival by paypal or cash we do not accept credit cards or checks.
Cancellations: Deposits are refundable ONLY if we are able to rebook your dates.
Check-in/out: Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 12 noon, however, if no one else is coming or going before – you may come early and stay late.
Maid Service: Maid service is provided once weekly. Washing machine, clothes line and dryer are provided.
Outdoors: Swimming, skating, hiking, biking and snowshoeing are available at your door step. Much more of course throughout Southeastern Vermont.
